About us
Have you ever been struck by a chord, a melody, or an orchestration—and wondered why it resonated so deeply?
NotaRe is a newsletter about how great music works—and why it moves us. Whether you are a musician or curious listener, you are in the right place.
Using a complete and unified analytical framework, we explore how emotional and narrative associations are evoked within a musical passage. Each short-form musical bite and long-form musical recipe uncovers the ingredients and artistry behind a specific musical moment, revealing what makes it impactful.
While we primarily focus on Western classical music, we occasionally explore other genres, including film scores, pop songs, and jazz pieces.
Notare is the official newsletter of Orphere, a company developing smarter tools for music analysis and composition.
